Austin Sexton is a dancer, dance teacher and singer. In addition to her work with RDC, she's a company member of 3rd Shift Dance, the Choreography Intern at Seattle Children's Theatre, and is on faculty at Rhythm and Soul Dance and Spectrum Dance Theater.
Austin grew up training at Spectrum, the company and school her mother, Jenny Hillock, co-founded. She also studied at Dance Fremont. Austin has worked with Xaviera Vandermay, Eva Stone, Kabby Mitchell III, Jenny Hillock, Jason Olhberg and Dance Fremont! co-founders Mary Reardon and Vivian Little.
During her years at Shoreline Community College, Austin studied music theory, piano, choir and vocal performance, performing as a lead singer with the band, Funk 'n Groove. Today, she remains inspired by the vision that allowed her mother, and other great dance artists such as Dale Merrell, to create entertaining, inclusive and diverse dance in Seattle.
